Dine@7 Majestic Grande Sukhumvit Hotel Bangkok

I have been an always buffet fan, every weekend I love to search good buffet places to refresh my mind. This weekend lunch is at Dine@7 in Majestic Grande Sukhumvit Hotel in Bangkok. I selected this place for lunch because they always serve fresh seafood and variety of desserts. Also, they offer good deal on Metrodeal.com from 399 bahts (USD12) to 499 bahts (USD15)  per person. This is going to be my 3rd time here. My two sisters and I got there at 11.20am which is a bit too early because they open at 11.30am. It is always good to be there before they open, because you can grab all the freshest food and never miss any hot plates. So we wait for a little bit, and they come collect our coupon and finally let us in.

Seafood Section

The manager came forward to us and showed us around. He said today we got grilled shrimps, crabs, and oysters. I walked there to get 5 shrimps right away. The shrimp is not so big but within this budget, I still think it’s a good deal. Shrimp paste is so cheesy and melting. I dipped with seafood sauce and it’s just super yummy. It’s too yummy that I finished it too fast and go get another 4 shrimps right away. However, I didn’t get to eat the crabs at all because they said the crabs are running out. I was like, what!? 20 minutes just passed by. So people who came in late, they didn’t get to eat much seafood because they ran out so fast. There is no crab, then I go get raw salmon and ham instead. Umm, salmon was okay but the ham was quite good. I can tell that they marinated ham with honey. The smell of honey is so sweet making this ham way more delicious. I walked up for Papaya Salad with salty egg (Som Tum Kai Kem). The taste is very authentic to me. Sweet, sour, salty, and spicy taste is just right. Salty egg yolk makes this papaya salad even mellower. Over here, you can get either a cup of tea or coffee. But you will be served drinking water all the time.

Dessert

I picked up green tea cake, strawberry short cake, mango pudding cake, banana cheese cake, and crème brulee. I have to say that all of them are very delicious. There is no artificial flavours on any of their dessert. Green tea cake is not sweet at all and they put real green tea powder and not added any flavour on the cake. It tasted a little bitter but it’s super good overall. Banana cheese cake is the best here. It’s very creamery. They put lots of banana slides in. When you bite it, you can feel a little crispy because they mixed lots of cookie crumb in the cheesecake. Overall, I am in love with the seafood and dessert here a lot. I wish they could have enough seafood to serve everybody while the lunch time is not yet over.
