In the center of Bangkok you can easily see a lot of shopping malls, they anywhere between selling international luxury brands or local designer handcraft products. The most well known shopping malls for foreign visitors must be Siam Paragon, Siam Center or Central World. The mall that I am going to recommend today is the 2019 newly opened mall – The Market Bangkok, it locates just right oppose to Central World, few minutes walk away from it where has a skywalk bridge connects with all the major malls together includes Big C, Siam Paragon.

The Collection Of Local Brands And Designs

The whole shopping malls has total 6 floors, the ground floor is the collections of different restaurants including Thai food, Japanese food, cafe and Pizza restaurant and beverage stores. The shops in the 2nd floor are mostly selling fashionable outfits, accessories that designed by local designers and brands. I personally like the shops here very much, the thing that I like about The Market Bangkok is it is not targeting on high end customers or selling luxurious brand name products like regular shopping malls. It is more targeting on young people and support small startup local businesses. Many Thai fashion brands and cosmetics stores have opened flagship stores here, including with.it, Sense, Patanit, Metaste’, LALUV, etc, a variety of styles, grades and a lot of choices. For me I like to shop and buy stuff from local brands which they represent their own country uniqueness.

 Chatuchak Market Section

 Located on the 2nd floor, ‘Chatuchak Products’ is one of the highlights of the new shopping mall. It sells more than 100 specialty items from the Chatuchak Market stores. It is like entering the market with air-conditioning. If you haven’t been to Bangkok, you might not know about Chatuchak Market, it is the most popular and busiest weekend flea market in Bangkok, where you can shop many cute fashionable, collective and handcrafts items. In this section, they bring all the popular items from Chatuchak Market to the more comfortable shopping mall. 

The Gourmet World

The 3rd floor is a gourmet world. In addition to Thai restaurants, there are also Japanese cuisine, seafood specialty shops, Korean fried chicken, and durian dessert shops. In addition, the food court in the middle of the third floor has variety of street food. The food court area is the collection of Thailand night market street food. If you do not like walking in the hot, crowded night market but still want to taste local street food, then here might be the place for you.
